i spent sunday morning listening to Ol' Dirty while walking to my studio. he has got the funniest, most nasty lines ever. there are just so many layers and overdubs of voices that i STILL hear new things almost every time that i listen. yesterday i discovered:

"Bed Stuy, the most dirtiest place ta bah (be)"

i remember when steve klein bought 'Nigga Please' at best buy in fargo and we listened to it on the way home. we were both laughing so hard that we were crying. and then later on i remember bringing it with on a cross country skiing trip with brian gunderson and steve. if i remember correctly, it was the first time that brian had heard it. (is that right gunz?) i was concerned that he might not like it due to it's full-on nastiness. but i should have known better though as pretty much the rest of the trip consisted of brian's rendition of, "give me a lil' of that cracka jack, you ain't carmel coated cracka jack..".

i don't know what was funnier...hearing that or watching steve cross country ski.

ah well, go listen to that album and think of Ol' Dirty smiling down on us all...
