The Temple Of Doom

what in the sweet jesus is going on with these yankees? ugh...it will be horrible if those shlumpy red sox win tonight.

i thought this was pretty funny from today's NY Post:

i remember doing a report on babe ruth in grade school. it would be so awesome if by chance boston does win, right as they are all celebrating on the field the ghost of babe ruth would come up out of the pitcher's mound and start beating the living hell out of them. or maybe melt them like at the end of Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

ok, in less important news:

i find this site fascinating. i am totally addicted to it. it even changes throughout the day. as i type this now, kerry has 291 electoral votes to bush's 247.

also, most of you have probably seen jon stewart on crossfire (from last friday) by now, but just in case you haven't, watch it HERE.

i think he did a really good job. he has a really good point about the media not doing the general public any real service. i am amazed at how people are negatively reacting to his being on this show. judge for yourself.

just for kicks, HERE is jon's Daily Show response.

anyways, GO YANKEES.

i wish a-rod would have karate chopped that pitcher's very god awful cornrows off the top of his head. listen, any team would have contested all of that stuff...it's how the game is played (and boston fans were throwing balls onto the field for all of their home games you might recall...). i would love to see the astro's and the yankees play. actually, i don't really care that much about the world series...it's just more fun to make boston weep. that said, i am not at all confident about the game tonight, but it is going to be insanely nuts probably.

alright, i want to chime in for some reason.
first...i don't think a-rod was all that ot of line. i mean, he was at the height of his running speed, and they jump in fromt of him. of course there's going to be a little flailing about. not that he didn't mean to hit the ball out of the way, but i think it was more a "get the hell outta my way" type of thing.
secondly, i thought the yankees fans were pretty awesome.
"we are from new york, and we're not going to passively sit by and watch something happen that we don't like! we'll throw something at you! take that!"

okay, that is all of my quote marks for the moment.

oh, and jon stewart is "awesome" and now "even more attractive, even though i didn't think that was possible."
