sunshine-y day
yesterday was probably the nicest day of the year here weatherwise. i think it almost got to 60 degrees.
it was the perfect day to go up to the park and check out the fully installed Gates.
i went up there with a bunch of my co-workers. i think we ended up spending 2 hours walking through the badassery.
for 12:30 on a tuesday, the park was pretty crowded. not in a bad way though. it was good to see all of the smiling people checking it all out.
along the paths, there are workers who will answer any questions that you might have. they also will give you a swatch of the fabric used on the Gates if you ask:
as soon as i got back to the office, i checked out how much these were going for on ebay.
i don't know though...it's seems kind of shitty to sell them. on the other hand, it could cover a nice dinner or something.
all in all, i give the much hyped Gates a solid A+. they kicks ass.

in other exciting news, yesterday i got tickets to see THE WEDDING PRESENT at the bowery ballroom on 4/29!!!
anyone want to come with me?
