the number one song of 2005
as you've most likely noticed, this is the time of year when every blog out there feels that it's necessary to list their top 10 (or more) albums of the year.
instead of boring you to tears doing that, i am just simply going to tell you what my favorite song of 2005 was/is.
now, before i let you in on this little secret, you might be wondering to yourself how i decided which song to pick out of the thousands that came out this year.
or maybe you aren't wondering that at all.
either way, i just wanted to make it clear that there was no special formula involved. i just remember listening to this song one day while riding the subway to work and thinking it was just about perfect. plus, it fits in nicely with my overall feelings toward 2005 and the future in general.

How's the transit strike treating ya?
I love that song too but was SHOCKED, SHOCKED I tell you when they played it on the radio here in Colorado one day. SHOCKED. Fun song. Fun album. Malaysia Suite not one of my faves though. Merry Christmas!!
